Daisy the Therapy Dog
Daisy comes from a charity called ‘Therapy Dogs Nationwide’. and visits us at school on a weekly basis. The volunteers work closely with teachers and parents to encourage children to improve their reading and communication skills. By having a ‘Reading Dog’ we want to encourage those children who lack self- esteem, or those less confident at reading to have a friendly audience and look forward to reading as a treat. Daisy is a good listener and she never judges or criticizes.
