Updates for parents

Late arrivals – Please ensure that your child is in school before the bell is rung.  Children who regularly arrive late will be contacted by the school’s Educational Welfare Officer.

Spare clothes – If you have any small boys/girls pants and/or socks that you would be happy to donate to the school we would be grateful.

Swimming pool drop off – We have been notified by Waltham Abbey Swimming Pool that High Beech children are being dropped off as early as 8.15 for their lesson.  The pool management will not allow our children access prior to 8.40 when the school will have members of staff on duty.  Please can parents/carers adhere to this policy.  Thank you.

Absences – May we remind you that if your child is not able to attend school, that you inform us by telephone on the first day of absence.  Then follow this up with a letter on their return to school.

Term time holidays – The government have issued all schools with attendance targets and government policy is for schools to discourage taking children out of school during term time for holidays.

Parking – May we remind parents to park courteously at the beginning and the end of the school day.

Please could parents/carers not drop off children before 8.40 as there are not members of staff on duty to supervise.  Thank you.

Each Friday at 9.00am we have a Sharing Assembly in the hall and you are welcome to join us.

Holy Innocents Church Valentines and Lent Activity Day Saturday 10th February 11.30 to 3.00pm Lots of craft for the children – all free Buffet meal and pancakes. Pancake flipping competition at 1.00 pm
Public Speaking Competition On Wednesday, Myla, Sunnie and Alicia took part in a Public Speaking Competition with some local schools.They were a credit to the school and came a close second.
Lates Please note that you may drop your child off from 8.40 until 9.00 in the morning. After that time, your child will be considered to be late. Please could you bring your child to the office to sign in, if you arrive after that time.
Multi Academy Trust - We have received our Academy Order from the Dfe. This means that we will become part of the Epping Forest Schools Partnership Trust from April 1st.
Last week, Barry was lucky enough to be a mascot for Tottenham at the West Ham match.
We are delighted to be offering the chance for you to come and join your child for a maths lesson. Each year group has a time slot this term when one adult can sit with their child and see how they learn.

Tea Towels It’s not too late! There are still some tea towels for sale. Only £4 each! You can either get them from the office or they will also be on sale at the Nativity on Wednesday and Thursday next week.
Secret Santa If you have any gifts that you wish to donate, please send them in to school over the next few weeks. Children can then bring in £1 and buy a present for a parent/ grandparent etc. on Monday 18th December.
