Mission Statement

High Beech Primary School, where staff, governors, pupils, parents and carers work together collaboratively and cooperatively to create a safe, caring and inclusive environment which nurtures the spirit and supports and inspires learning so that the highest possible personal and academic standards can be achieved by all.

School Values

High Beech Primary views itself as a values-based school; seeking to promote an educational philosophy based on valuing self, others and the environment.

We teach children a range of values which help them to work with one another cooperatively and with respect. Children learn the importance of friendship and unity; to approach life with positivity and hope, and to show empathy and acceptance towards others. These values make our school community happy and harmonious, a fun place, where children feel secure.

At High Beech, every individual is valued for who they are and what they contribute to the school. Five core values support the personal, social and spiritual development of every pupil throughout the school.

The whole staff team and all pupils are involved in promoting our values and recognising where others are ‘living the values’. Our key values have been chosen because they are important within the school community and important throughout life.

Assembly themes are predominantly values based with religious teachings and religious festivals observed. ‘Thinking Time’ and ‘Silent Reflection’ are used in addition to prayer in encouraging children to reflect upon values during assemblies and in classrooms. Circle time and PHSE lessons are further opportunities to discuss and promote values within each classroom with informal opportunities being utilised whenever possible, e.g. playtime.
